Product Description:With the AT-6666 PRO, AnyTone offers a powerful radio that can be used both mobile in a car, camper or truck and as a stationary unit (then complete with power supply and base antenna). During sunspot maximum, you can often talk between different parts of the world on the 10m band. With 80W output power, you usually don't need an extra output stage to be heard really far!
The NRC function provides switchable digital noise reduction, which does a fantastic job even with weaker signals.
The most used functions can be set directly via the controls on the front panel. These include, for example, volume, frequency selection, transmit power, receiver sensitivity, channel selection, clarifier, operating mode and scanning.
The AT-6666 PRO has a protection function that automatically reduces the output power if the SWR value is too high, effectively preventing damage to the device that may be caused by a poorly aligned or disconnected antenna. The built-in SWR meter gives you the SWR value instantly.
The radio's display can be dimmed in several steps, e.g. for mobile use at night. You can also set your favorite color in the display - choose from blue, light blue, turquoise, orange, yellow, green and pink.
An adequate 13.8 volt 20 A power supply should be available for stationary operation.
With a few simple button presses, the frequency range can be extended so that you get the 11m band in the radio. And with a minor modification, the radio can also cover 15m and 12m amateur radio bands.
A USB connection is available to import firmware upgrades and program the device (separate cable required, not included). An external speaker can be connected via a 3.5 mm jack socket, for example for use in a vehicle.
The AnyTone AT-6666 PRO is a richly equipped shortwave transceiver for the frequency range from 28.0 to 29.7 MHz and works in AM, FM, USB, LSB and CW.
The easy-to-read, illuminated display has a large frequency display and a bar graph for the S-meter.
You can choose between two operating modes:
VFO mode: The frequency can be freely selected using the channel selection control (VFO knob).
Channel mode: The frequencies can be selected from different "bands" (A, B, D, D, E, ...) with 40 channels each.
The available tuning steps are 10 Hz, 100 Hz, 1 kHz, 5 kHz, 10 kHz, 100 kHz and 1 MHz. A clarifier also allows the exact frequency to be set if the other party is not transmitting exactly on the set frequency.
The output power in AM and SSB is 80 watts (PEP) and 50 watts in FM and can be set to the desired value using a control on the front of the radio.
Switchable digital noise reduction not only provides clear and easy-to-understand sound reproduction when receiving, but can also be switched on for the transmitting arm. The included electret element hand-held microphone provides powerful modulation and has up/down buttons for frequency selection and a freely assignable "PF" button.
