POC stands for PTT Over Cellular and therefore means that you use your device just like a regular radio, but use the mobile network. This means that your reach is limited only by mobile coverage - so you get a range more or less worldwide. In some cases, you still want to use traditional radio, but supplement with POC. E.g. if you have a haulage company that is primarily active in a certain area - and has a radio radio system in it. But at the same time, you may want to have contact with LBC and your colleagues if you get a long drive out of the country. For these cases, there are devices that are both a traditional com radio and POC radio in one.
