Product Description:Yaesu M90D is a dynamic microphone with wide frequency response optimised for speech. An additional high-pass filter reduces the bass from approx. 340 Hz by 6 dB per octave. A built-in isolation transformer provides complete galvanic isolation and results in clean, hum-free modulation.
Two connector sockets are built into the base of the microphone: RJ-45 and 8-pin round. The connections of these sockets are wired in parallel, so the supplied cable with RJ-45 plug and 8-pin Foster plug can be used in both directions, depending on which socket the transceiver has.
The M-90D has a forward directivity that is further enhanced by the pop shield. This reduces ambient noise and only the speaker in front of the microphone is transmitted.
A large PTT button is built into the base, and a latching function for the PTT is also available. The supplied cable offers both standard connectors - RJ-45 and 8-pin round (Foster connector). This means that most Yaesu transceivers of the last decades can be operated with the M-90D without an adapter.
Note that some older Yaesu transceivers (FT-1000, -747, -840, -850) require an additional 5V power supply.
