Product Description:The Sirio SDB 702 is a compact dual-band mobile antenna with magnetic mount, designed for the 2 meter and 70 centimeter amateur radio bands. It offers solid performance in a practical low-profile design, making it well suited for passenger vehicles, service vehicles and portable installations where reduced height is important.
The antenna is built using high-quality materials including a 17/7 PH stainless steel whip together with nylon and chromed brass components for excellent durability. The whip also features a convenient tilt mechanism allowing it to fold down 90 degrees when needed, for example when entering garages or other low-clearance areas.
The SDB 702 covers 141–149 MHz on VHF and 430–440 MHz on UHF. It features an omnidirectional radiation pattern and vertical polarization. On UHF, the antenna provides approximately 2 dB gain compared to a standard quarter-wave whip.
The antenna is rated for up to 100 watts and offers low SWR on both bands. Bandwidth is specified as at least 8 MHz on VHF and at least 20 MHz on UHF.
The SDB 702 MAG-60 version is supplied complete with magnetic mount, 3 meters of RG-58 coaxial cable and a PL-259 connector. Overall antenna height is approximately 470 mm and total weight including the magnetic mount is approximately 475 grams.
