Yaesu FTX-1 is a fantastic radio for portable use! The FTX-1 series is the successor to the legendary FT-817/818. The FTX-1 combines mobile flexibility with innovative SDR technology – perfect for demanding radio amateurs who don’t want to compromise in the field, whether operating portable, mobile, or at home.

The Yaesu FTX-1 Field covers the entire amateur radio spectrum from 160 m to 70 cm – including HF, 6 m, 2 m, and 70 cm. The radio supports all common analog modes (FM, SSB, CW, AM) as well as C4FM. Particularly impressive is its true dual-band reception, even for two simultaneous C4FM signals. Mode switching is handled automatically via AMS (Automatic Mode Select).

The 4.3-inch color touchscreen offers an intuitive real-time frequency spectrum display thanks to 3D Spectrum Stream (3DSS). Signal strength, waveform, and frequency can be viewed and adjusted directly on the screen. With three customizable display layouts (dual horizontal, dual vertical, single band), the screen adapts flexibly to your operating mode.

The transceiver features a sophisticated RF front end with 10x bandpass filters for excellent interference suppression. This is complemented by two powerful DSPs, separate main and sub RX units, and a high-purity 110.592 MHz oscillator, enabling A/D sampling with a first-class carrier-to-noise ratio (C/N).

The FTX-1 Field delivers up to 6 W output power when operating on battery, and 10 W with an external power supply.
