The real-time spectrum display in the IC-7300 has class-leading resolution, sweep speed and dynamic range. While listening to the received audio signal, you can follow the spectrum display in real time and quickly switch to the desired signal.
SYSTEM FOR DIRECT SAMPLING OF RF
IC-7300 uses a system for direct access to RF. RF signals are converted directly to digital data and processed in an FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array), which makes it possible to simplify the design of the circuit. The system is technology-leading and epoch-making in amateur radio.
NEW FUNCTION "IP +"
The new “IP +” feature improves third-order intercept point (IP3) performance. When a weak signal adjacent to a strong signal is received, the A / D converter is optimized for minimal signal distortion.
CLASS LEADING RMDR AND PHASE NOISE PROPERTIES
In the IC-7300, the RMDR is improved to about 97 dB * 1 (typical value) and the phase noise characteristics have been improved to about 15 dB (at the frequency range 1 kHz) compared to the IC-7200. The superior phase noise characteristics reduce the noise components in both received and transmitted signal.
15 DISCREET BAND PASS FILTER
The IC-7300 has 15 discrete bandpass filters for RF. The RF signal passes only through one of the bandpass filters, while out-of-band signals are rejected. The bandpass filters use coils with a high Q value to minimize the losses in the bandpass filters for RF.
SUPERIOR SIGNAL QUALITY
The system with direct sampling of the RF signal naturally provides superior linear signals and noise resistance by the signal conversion from RF to AF taking place digitally. Mathematical frequency conversion in the FPGA provides a dramatic improvement in signal purity. Thanks to these features, the IC-7300, despite its compact shape, delivers exceptionally clean and rich sound, something that is usually only expected from a higher class radio.
